hmmm.. not much different can be seen on these pics, right? so from the research i have done (okay, tipu, google je. takde keje nak wat research haha) turtle in Malay is penyu, ganu kito :) while tortoise is kura-kura. it is shame that all this while (until high school, dude --' ) ive been pronouncing tortoise as = TORTOIZ when it actually sounds TORTIZ. sad, innit? well, blame my English teacher HAHAHAHA ok kidding, dont sue me please.
so turtle or penyu has flatter shell, it also has flippers to help them swim. dont know what flippers are? its the one you put on your feet when you scuba dive. or looks like ducks' feet to be clearer. turtles spend most of their times in the ocean and only mendarat on the land (or shall i say land on the land? touch down on the land?) to lay eggs and stuffs like... errr shopping? okay get out now! haha .. turtle can swim deep in the ocean and migrate from tasman sea to pacific ocean to bla bla bla
tortoise or kura2 on the other hand has dome-like shell and no flippers but long, sharp pointy nails to help them digging the ground. what for? i dunno. berak i guess haha. they spend most of their time on land rather than in the water. turtles tend to stay at one area only which is in the artificial pond where your lawn is. hahaha :D
